Our student application for residence in the Michigan Branch of the Telluride House beginning August 2026 is due Saturday, September 13th, 2025 at 11:59 pm EST. All full-time University of Michigan students are eligible to apply, whether you’re an undergraduate, graduate, or professional student. You can also apply if you are not yet a University of Michigan student but are currently applying to the school and planning to matriculate - for example, if you’re currently a senior in high school or are in the process of applying to graduate school at Michigan.

The application process consists of two stages. First is the written application, which can be accessed at the link above. The written application includes background information, eight questions ranging from 150-700 words each, and your most recent official transcript. Note that we do not require letters of recommendation.

House-members will evaluate your written application and determine which applicants will advance to the second stage: interviews. Those who are not selected for an interview are notified at this stage. Applicants who are selected for interviews will be contacted by our Recruitment Officers. This year, all of our interviews will take place in a virtual format via Zoom.

Applicants will be notified of the final decision in late November 2025.
