Our student application for residence in the Michigan Branch of the Telluride House is OPEN.

All full-time University of Michigan students are eligible to apply, whether you’re an undergraduate, graduate, or professional student. You can also apply if you are not yet a University of Michigan student but are currently applying to the school and planning to matriculate - for example, if you’re currently a senior in high school or are in the process of applying to graduate school at Michigan.

The application process consists of two stages. First is the written application, which can be accessed at the link above. The written application includes background information, eight questions ranging from 150-700 words each, and your most recent official transcript. NOTE: We do not require (or accept) letters of recommendation.

Housemembers will evaluate your written application and determine which applicants will advance to interviews. Those who are not selected for an interview will be notified. Applicants who are selected for interviews will be contacted by our Recruitment Officers. All of our interviews will take place in a virtual format via Zoom.

Applicants will be notified of the final decision in late November 2026. Below, you can find the first part of the application - due SEPTEMBER 13TH, 2026.

OUR APPLICATION CYCLE HAS BEGUN FOR 2027-2028!!!

Applications are due on SEPTEMBER 15TH, 2026 at 11:59 PM (formerly September 13th).

SEPTEMBER 11, 2026: The application is back up! Thank you for your patience. The application window has been extended by 48 hours to make up for the lost time.
