Day Trip to Frankenmuth

A few of our house members went on a trip to the quaint and charming town of Frankenmuth, Michigan (When I say, Franken, you say Muth!!). Our first stop was Bronner's Christmas Wonderland, the world's largest Christmas store. The sheer variety of ornaments, decorations, and festive displays was overwhelming, and we couldn't resist picking up a few souvenirs to bring a touch of Frankenmuth's holiday spirit back home. Afterwards, we took a walk around downtown and it was such a delight to see the beautiful architecture. The half-timbered buildings, flower-filled window boxes, and cobblestone streets transported us to a different era. Even though it was freezing, the ambiance radiated a warmth that immediately made us feel welcome. The main street of Frankenmuth was a shopper's paradise, filled with boutique stores, souvenir shops, and specialty stores. We explored a variety of shops, specifically the Cheese Haus, where the cheese enthusiasts in our group picked up some sweet and savory treats. One of the unique and unexpectedly delicious treats we tried was chocolate cheese.

Frankenmuth is also famous for its delectable German cuisine, and our taste buds were in for a treat at the Bavarian Inn. From authentic sausages and pretzels to hearty schnitzels and strudels, every dish was a culinary masterpiece. The charming atmosphere of the restaurant, complete with friendly staff dressed in traditional Bavarian attire, added to the overall immersive experience. Overall, our trip to Frankenmuth was delightful and so fun!!
