I'm here, I'm queer, and I'd by lying to you if I said I have any idea what I'm doing. At the present moment I'm trying to understand how best I can help other folks make the world a more habitable place with the abilities I can offer. I have leanings toward public health and social work, so we'll see where it goes.
I'm currently employed by the Spectrum Center, interviewing and archiving the stories of queer alumni.
I’m a facilitator at the Prison Creative Arts Project, which brings programming to incarcerated folks all over Michigan. Workshop days make my whole week. I can quite nearly promise that a session or two inside, or a visit to one of our events will turn you into an abolitionist too.
In my free time you'll probably find me shouting about redistributing wealth, or staring at an UMMA exhibit I've already seen four times.
Likes: High pigmented inks, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, baking at 2 AM, surrealism, cooking with bacon grease, dressing like I always have somewhere to go (even when I don't), watching stand-up, and Cardamom (the spice and the restaurant)
Dislikes: Lack of seasoning, low-rise pants, shopping outside of the "sale" section, the question: "What are you?", and any weather that's not sweater weather
Worships: Billy Porter, Alok Viad-Menon, Alison Bechdel
