Terms of Scholarship

Applicants must enroll as full-time University of Michigan students while in the house.
Applications from current U-M students and former participants of TASS or TASP will be considered in the fall semester. Incoming freshmen and transfer students will be considered this winter semester. All selected students will join the house in the fall of the following academic year.
The house member application to Telluride House is designed to be challenging but not intimidating. The first round consists of several essays on a variety of topics. We highly recommend that you invest a significant amount of time into the essays. No applicant with weak essays has gone onto the second round. Applicants selected for the second round will receive an interview, either in person at Telluride House in Ann Arbor or via telephone or Skype.
Although the essays require at least as much thought and effort as many university admission applications, they do allow candidates to show what they have to offer in their own terms. The house has accepted members as much for their artistic portfolios and scientific research as for their essays and interviews.
If you have any questions about the application process, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
