From: Constantine, MI
Year in School: PhD
Studying: Civil and Environmental Engineering
I am a PhD Candidate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. My area of research is computer modeling and control of fluid flow in civil infrastructure systems. I am also interested in STEM outreach and education, and have been carrying out a qualitative study on the experiences of Liberian women studying engineering. Before coming to UofM, I obtained my B.S. degree from Central Michigan University in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics, with a minor in Spanish. In the future, I would like to become a professor.
Beyond school, I enjoy dancing tango, reading a variety of books, binge watching tv shows, seeing movies at the Michigan Theater, drinking good coffee and red wine (not together!), and getting to know new people and places.
