From: Chicago, IL
Year in School: First year Masters
Studying: Education Policy
I was born and raised in the great city of Chicago. I graduated from DePaul University in December of 2015 and majored in Sociology with a focus in education and minored in Spanish. During my eventful time at DePaul I served as a resident advisor, teachers aide in Chicago Public Schools and tutor for local families. I held summer research positions at Berkeley and Stanford, presented research work at various institutions, and just recently ended a job as a research assistant at Northwestern University Institute for Policy Research in Education. I always knew my next steps to strengthen my skills in education would be to receive a Masters in Ed Policy and I am ecstatic to begin this journey at University of Michigan and share in my experience with this amazing Telluride House! Go Blue! Fun facts about me…I am a child at heart and a Disney fanatic, enjoy running and playing sports my favorite is volleyball. I am a big Chicago sports fan but look forward to spread my football love to Michigan, GO BLUE! I love listening and dancing to music particularly 90s music, 80s rock, and Spanish music. Lastly I enjoy being in the sun, traveling, reading, and being with my friends and family who are my world!
